Sky Top Orchard- here we come

These pictures are from last year when we went to Sky Top Orchard.  We are headed there this weekend and we are so excited. 

Looking back at these pictures makes me realize how much the kids have grown physically and in maturity in the last year.

July 4th

Once again my parents came to watch our kiddos for the week of the 4th! This is such a fun tradition.

Our club has a hot dog lunch and games for the kids.  Bill and Sydney in the water balloon toss.

The kids had to collect pop cans off the bottom of the pool, Sydney picked up 13!

Then they collected coins, she is quite the swimmer

It was a great day and we were thankful to have family to celebrate with.

COMPANY!

One of the things on our summer list was to have company and company we have had and are having!  Bill's oldest son Marcus was here last week for a few days.  It was so good to see him and have time to visit.  Bill's aunt and uncle were traveling through and were able to spend an evening with us.  Again it was so nice to share a meal and visit.  My parents are coming in Sunday for the week of the fourth and we are so excited.  Busy busy busy preparing and planning so I have not been blogging all that much, I promise I will catch up and post some summer fun.  Here are some pics of us with company.

Summer list 2013

Last year we started our tradition of creating a summer list. This is the list for this summer, we are so excited!

Airlie Gardens

While we were in Wilmington a few weeks ago we visited Airlie Gardens. The garden had a special Ribbit Exhibit featuring the work of JA Cobb and copper sculptor. 

They had a scavenger hunt for the kids to find all the frogs, it was fun for the adults too!

We had the best time, the kids loved running and looking for the frogs and we enjoyed all the scenery. 

Wilmington trip

We went to Wilmington for part of Memorial weekend and stayed with my friend Val!  We went downtown by the water and enjoyed the scenery.  We ate ice cream at Kilwins (twice actually), it was so good. 

I sat next to my sweetie on the horse drawn tour we went on of the historic mansions (more pics later). 

The boys, born 6 days apart, sat side by side and watched a movie.  Val and I were pregnant together and now we have boys growing up together. 

This is our family at the movie, we saw Epic which was so fun.  It was Griffin's first trip to the real movie theater.  He only had to get up once to go to the bathroom.

Gate City Park

We went to this park several weeks ago and we had the entire place to ourselves. I loved all the vegetables they had growing and all the fun kids stuff.
