Sydney and school

Sydney playing school, she is just so cute and smart.  She breezes through her homework so some nights I create math problems or have her spell her sight words for practice.  She is doing very well in kindergarten and has awesome teachers.  We are so proud of her! 

Icy Morning

These pictures were taken over a week ago when we had a school delay and we got some snow that actually turned into some ice. Sydney was absolutely giddy the night before just hoping it would snow. She woke up at 430 or 5 and wanted to go outside. Our beach board worked well on the frozen snow.

Zoo trip

What do you do when the weather is warm? When it hits 70 degrees in January we go to the zoo.

we saw a real show at the gorilla area, the male was acting protective of one of the mommas and her baby- there are two babies that were born in August

then the chimps were very active and the babies were adorable

they were righ up next to the glass and they were interacting with a little chimp puppet that a little girl was holding

we had another great visit and look forward to many more when the weather is warm again

Its Out!

Yes, Sydney lost her first tooth. It was only loose about a week and since she is a constant wiggler it was ready to come out.  Saturday we were at a friends birthday party and she just pulled it out and then walked over to me with it in her hand.  I was so surprised she pulled it out on her own.  She left it for the tooth fairy, and was so surprised when the tooth fairy left her a note, 5 dollars and her tooth!  The tooth fairy told her she is doing a great job brushing her teeth and that she wanted her to keep her tooth so she could show all her friends.  I am not ready for my girl to grow up and lose her teeth.  She is also getting her 6 year molars.  I want time to freeze! 

Griffin boo boo

Running feet and a sharp corner on a counter.......another boo boo for this guy. 

Thankfully no glue or stitches we needed just some extra hugs and time with momma.  When we were on our way to the office to be checked out I told him we may need to glue his head and he told me "not the hot glue momma!"   Apparently he has seen me crafting with my hot glue gun and he was sure he did not want that glue.  I am so glad that the spot is covered by his hair because it may leave an indention.  We are working on WALKING feet but boys will be boys and my little boy seems to have one speed.
