Not Me Monday

I most certainly did not give my child Crystal light to drink for breakfast because we were out of milk.

I did not eat two desserts at lunch today, even though I am trying to continue to be healthy and get to my goal weight. If drug reps wouldn't bring yummy treats from Starbucks I might be a bit skinnier.

Mustache

I am joining up with other moms and posting my Not Me Monday post.

I most certainly did not think about calling out of work today because I have a chemical burn on my upper lip from using Nair on my mustache. Yes, this is true and I felt rather vain even having this thought but part of me is embarrassed because now the burn is more obvious than the mustache initially. Oh well I am at work today, hoping no one notices. FYI never reapply a second coat if all the hair does not come off the first time. TRUST me.

Not Me Monday

A few nights ago I was taking off Griffin's bibs to put on pjs and found a puff. I most certainly did not eat it instead of throwing it away because there was no trash can nearby and I could not leave him unattended on the changing table. Yes I know I could have throw it away later but it was just easier to eat it. It tasted like banana!

Not Me Monday

Okay, you know how this works. It is Not Me Monday Again.

I most certainly did Not feel grit on the bottom of the tub and go ahead and run bath water and put my child in for tubbie thinking oh well there is going to be more grit in a few minutes anyway. I did go back a few days later and scrub and rinse out tub. But honestly I cannot keep up with the grit in our house. Sydney brings home 1/4 cup of sand in her shoes daily and I have her take them off on the back porch but some how we still end up with grit on the kitchen floor, in the tub ectera. I also did Not skip dusting my bedroom thinking to myself no one goes in my bedroom except Bill and I anyway. Again after a few days I decided to dust my bedroom but it only gets dusted every few weeks because I just do not have the time or energy and when I see the dust it is usually early am or bed time when I am in my room and that is not a good time for dusting.

Embarrassing

I cannot believe I am going to admit this but I am. Not Me Monday is all about admitting the things we do that are a bit silly, crazy, or embarrassing. This is definitely embarrassing. This past week when I took Syd to the ENT again. If you have not read about her upcoming surgery read this post. So Sydney gets her vitals taken and then we are waiting in the room for Dr. W. Of course Syd is sitting on my lap because she is a bit scared and really does not care for male physicians. Dr. W comes in and we talk about how she has been, he looks in ears and throat and then we discuss the particulars of her upcoming surgery. We discuss biofilms and a few things that he probably does not go in to detail about with the average parent but me being a PA we can have these conversations. Then I fill out some paperwork with the nurse while trying to keep an eye on Syd who manages to get into a few things that I specifically asked her not to touch! Why my child has to act up when I am trying to make a good impression I have no idea. We then proceed to the front of the office and pay our bill. I get out to the car and put Syd in the car seat, yes strapping her in this time. Then I get in and realize my zipper is undone! Are you kidding me? I think I actually said this out loud. So now I am thankful Syd was on my lap the whole time hopefully hiding my hot pink underwear. How embarrassing!

Mckmama started Not Me Monday as a place to share some of those imperfections that we all have, and I find it rather therapeutic to read through what some other moms admit to. I have never posted a Not Me Monday post but today is the day.
I most certainly did not wait until my husband had left for the evening (to go to his sleep study test) to get out the chips and queso! Well actually I did but in my defense whenever we open a jar of queso (which I seldom buy) it is gone in 1 or 2 sittings and I may or may not get any of it. So me being the selfish wife decided to wait until he was gone to get it out.
I did not put my sunglasses on on top of my regular glasses on Sunday. Well yes I did.
I guess that's all my confessions for this week. Have you done anything slightly embarrassing or crazy this past week?
