Sydney's Artwork

Sydney does so much artwork and has so many papers from school that I need a storage unit! I do not save everything but I do save a good bit. I am saving these papers, I love to see how she spells things when she sounds words out. I will treasure these papers.

Park

Today was sunny and cool, the perfect day to be outside. Bill had to work this afternoon so they kids and I took a picnic and headed out to a city park.

 I remember his first time in a swing at the park, wow how a boy can change in 3 years.

The kids raced around, sliding down every slide, climbing every which way.

We love visiting different parks around town.  Have you been to the park lately?  What is your favorite thing to do at the park?   I would say my kids love to slide. 

Planting season

 A few weeks ago the kids and I started some seeds inside.  It is always fun to have helpers and to watch things grow (even if it is just the soil pods).  I love Griffin's expression.

This past weekend we planted a few cucumber plants and a few zucchini seeds in the raised beds.  We are also growing some flowers and some lettuce.  This year I ordered Heirloom tomato plants and they will be shipped when Burpee thinks it is time for me to plant.  I am hoping this summer we will have a good crop and that I am going to out smart the voles this year!

busy busy busy

Wow so busy here that I am behind in blog world.  I helped move a dear friend over the weekend so I have had laundry and household stuff to catch up on.  Another dear friend of mine was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and things at work have been busy.   I spent my half day catching up on homework, running to the grocery, making dinner to take to my friends family, baking cookies and washing my floors.  It has been hot- mid 80's the last few days and so we have been trying to spend time outside (I need to exercise more).  Tonight Sydney has a softball game so we will be racing around to get there on time and then it will be a late night.  I promise pictures and more updates soon. 

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord for Good Friday.  We were so excited and looking forward to an adventure.

After hours of water fun we showered and put on our pjs and headed to the lobby for the clock tower show and story time.

We had a blast, Sydney loved the wave pool and was always in the deep end.  Griffin liked to stay at the shallow end and hit the waves or have me help him jump!  There were many more slides, a bowling alley, an arcade and a few other activities for older kids.  We will have to go back when Griffin is a little taller! 

Pre Season Tournament

We had our first softball games- Friday night, double header Saturday and then the final game Monday night.  We were so proud of the girls, despite the cold temps and high winds they were out there trying their best.
