Today you turn one year old! We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You have brought so much joy to our home and to the people that surround you. We are amazed at our depth of love for you. We have loved you since the moment we discovered you were living in momma's belly. We were concerned that we would have enough love for you since our lives are so full with your big sister, but this has never been a problem. Our love has only multiplied and I do not believe we could love you more. We see you as a gift from God and we are so thankful.
There are so many things that we just love about you:
- your sweet smiles
- your little voice
- the way you cross your feet while sitting in your high chair or car seat (you also did this when you were nursing)
- your giggles
- the way you sleep with your arms tucked in, feet crossed and your bottom in the air
- your sweet snuggles
- the way you dance as soon as you hear any type of music
- your love for the outdoors and riding in your stroller or wagon
- your healthy appetite and the way you say "mmm" when you love something you taste
- your love for your big sis
- the way your little lip curls out when you cry
- your big brown eyes
- the way your crinkle your nose when you laugh
This first year of your life has passed so quickly and we just wish we could touch a pause button and keep you at each stage a little longer. You are crawling so fast and walking with very little support but you have yet to walk alone. You occasionally stand on your own for a few moments. You eat all big boy food and you are not picky. We got rid of bottles a while back and you just love your sippy cup. You continue to sleep well when you are healthy. You love cars, and trucks and always make the "zrrrm" noise when you play with them. If we ask you what a duck says you say "quack"- so precious. You do not have any real favorites when it comes to toys but you love all the things that are not toys- Tupperware, paint brushes, remotes, sissy's place mat (you take it off her chair and slide it all over the kitchen floor, anything out of momma's cubbards. One of your favorite games is to take the magnets off sissy's responsibility chart and drop them in the vent! You love to wave bye bye but almost refuse to clap.
We are excited to celebrate your first birthday and this amazing first year of your precious life.
Happy Birthday Baby Boy,
All our love, daddy, momma and Sydney
