Aquarium

While on vacation we had one drizzly morning so we decided it was the perfect morning to head to the Ripley's Aquarium!

Sydney checking out all the shark jaws. Doesn't she look ferocious?

Diver "Kristen" feeding the fish.

This is one view of a shark that I have never seen!

Saw tooth shark

This tunnel was amazing, we rode the conveyor belt around and you were completely surrounded by water and fish.

Griffin slept and missed out on the tunnel action. He did enjoy watching fish when he was awake.

Syd waiting for a sting ray to go past her hand.

Octopus stuck to glass!

These cool creatures are sea dragons, weedy sea dragon and leafy sea dragon. I believe God created some amazing animals.

Another diver.

A few slides and things for the kids to climb on. This was the mouth of a huge fish.

Horse shoe crabs for the touching. Just so you aren't concerned they are harmless, the mouth is tucked in and they do not pinch. Remember when we found one of these on the beach at Kiawah Island? Actually you may not because this was preblog. I will have to blog about that trip some time, we had a blast and found several cool creatures on the beach.

Even though Bill is older than I am he is such a big kid.

We really enjoyed the touch tank. The man working the tank told us that they hook together like this as a defense mechanism, cool huh.

Of course the picture Bill took did not turn out so well, both kids are looking down. The picture that the Aquarium took of all of us turned out great but I was not going to pay the price.

We recommend a trip to the Ripley's Aquarium at Myrtle Beach.

  1. We went to Ripley's Aquarium with Titus when he was little, in Gatlinburg, TN. He loved it and so did we!

  2. What a fun place! The conveyer belt is such a great idea. I wish they had one though the entire zoo. Wouldn't that make life easier?:)
I adore the picture of her with the jaw!
